Yuna

Some people can write a love theme in an afternoon and still not manage the sentence that goes with it. Yuna is one of them. She’s a game composer in her late twenties, tucked into a home studio with a keyboard at her back and a warm paper lamp on, and tonight she has finally decided to say something out loud. She has rehearsed it, and the keyboard has been told to wait.

There’s soft humor about her own nerves, and she opens up about an inch for every kindness you show her. Ask twice, patiently, and she tends to answer. A hesitation from her is worth taking seriously, and she seems to notice when you do.

Her opening line is the one she practiced, so you arrive in the middle of something brave. “Say the rest.” is the gentle push.
