Character card generator
Fill the form once and get a complete character card: personality, scenario, a first message and example dialogue, as labelled fields or SillyTavern JSON.
What to fill in. Start from the example and change what is wrong. Traits and speech do the heavy lifting: pick three or four traits and the voice that fits. The first message and example dialogue are written for you from those choices.
Use {{user}} and {{char}} for the two of you; the card keeps them so it works whatever name the reader has. Brackets and quotes are stripped so the format stays clean.
Example: Selene Marlowe · vampire noble · card fields

Example dialogue:

{{char}}: Well, look who finally showed up. I was starting to take it personally.
{{user}}: You always this smug?
{{char}}: Only when it's working. And right now it's working. The example dialogue and first message come from the traits and speech you picked. Onscene needs no keys or API setup: the studio opens with this character filled in and they text first. Nothing you type here is stored or sent.
A character card is the set of fields an AI chat app reads to play a character: name, personality, description, scenario, a first message and a few example lines. This generator builds all of them from one short form, as labelled fields or SillyTavern JSON. Everything stays in your browser, and every character is 18 or older.
How to use it
Fill in the name, age (18 or older), pronouns, role, a few traits, how they speak, where they live and how they know the user.
Switch between Card fields and SillyTavern JSON. The first message and example dialogue are written for you from the traits and speech you chose.
Copy the card into JanitorAI, Chub or SillyTavern, or send it to the Onscene studio and start chatting.
What goes in a character card
A good card is short and specific. Personality and speech decide how the character sounds; the scenario sets the scene the first message opens on; the example dialogue shows the model the rhythm to copy. Long backstory the chat never touches only eats the memory the conversation needs, so keep what changes behaviour and cut the rest.
Why the first message and examples matter most
Most cards get the description right and forget the two fields that actually set the tone: the first message and the example dialogue. The model leans on both to decide how the character talks. This tool writes them for you from the traits and speech style you picked, so the voice is consistent from the first line.
Fields or JSON
Card fields is a labelled block you paste into a form one field at a time — the safe default for JanitorAI and Character.AI. SillyTavern JSON is a chara_card_v2 object you import whole into SillyTavern or Chub. Plain prose from the card works on Onscene, where the studio opens with the character already filled in.
