An OC, or original character, is a character you made up yourself. This generator builds one in a click: a name, age, pronouns, role, appearance, three traits, a flaw, a quirk, a goal, a secret and a greeting. Every OC is an adult, 21 or older. Keep what you like, reroll the rest.
How to use it
Choose a genre, or press Surprise me. Pick pronouns and, if you like, type a name to keep.
Read the character sheet. Press Generate another until one has a detail you'd want to know more about.
Copy the sheet, or press Create this character to open the Onscene studio with it filled in, ready to chat with.
What makes an OC worth keeping
A flaw and a secret. A character with only good traits has nowhere to go. Give them something they get wrong and something they hide, and the story starts writing itself. Look for those two in each result and ask which one you're curious about.
Turning the sheet into a story
Pick one trait and one secret and write a single scene where they collide. A guarded character with a hidden debt, left alone with someone who asks too many questions, is a better start than three pages of history.
