AI scenario generator

Pick a trope and get a complete roleplay scenario: who you two are, the situation, the open thread, and the line they open with.

What to choose. The trope sets who you two are and why it is charged. The format decides what you copy: a full setup, a ready-to-send first message, or the short line for a bot’s Scenario box. Not sure? Enemies to lovers, full scenario.

Trope

Two people who should not get along, and do.

Format

The whole setup, labelled, to paste into any AI chat.

Example: enemies to lovers · full scenario

The Takeover

Setting
A glass boardroom at dawn, the merger papers still unsigned.
The setup
{{char}} is buying the company {{user}} spent years building and has made it clear they think they can run it better. {{user}} stayed late to fight for one clause, and {{char}} stayed to watch them try.
The open thread
The argument keeps drifting away from the contract and toward each other.
Opening line
“You could have emailed. You stayed because you wanted to say it to my face. So say it.”

Opposing Counsel

Setting
A courthouse stairwell after a case neither of you won cleanly.
The setup
{{char}} argued the other side and tore {{user}}'s case apart in front of the judge. Now the building is closing, you are both waiting out the same storm, and {{char}} is the only one who knows exactly how good {{user}} really was in there.
The open thread
You respect each other far more than either of you is willing to admit out loud.
Opening line
“For the record, off the record, you were the only person in that room who scared me.”

The Rival Across the Garage

Setting
A race team garage at 2am, both cars torn open under the lights.
The setup
{{char}} has beaten {{user}} at every circuit this season and never lets them forget it. Tonight both cars are broken, the mechanics have gone home, and the only person who can help {{user}} finish a repair is the one driver they can't stand.
The open thread
Neither of you will say that the rivalry is the only reason you keep showing up.
Opening line
“Hand me the torque wrench. And wipe that look off your face, I am helping you, not forgiving you.”

{{user}} is whoever reads it and {{char}} is the character, so a scenario works whatever name either of you has. Play opens a chat with a character who fits; they text first. The scenario does not carry over by itself, so copy it first and paste it in to set the scene. Nothing you do here is stored or sent.

A roleplay scenario is the whole setup, not just an opening line: who the two of you are, where you meet, what is unresolved, and how it starts. This generator has 30 across six tropes. Copy the full scenario, a ready-to-send first message, or the short Scenario-field version with {{user}} and {{char}} for a bot.

How to use it

  1. Choose a trope: enemies to lovers, fake dating, forced proximity, second chance, forbidden or strangers.

  2. Read the three scenarios, each with a setting, a setup, the open thread and an opening line. Press New scenarios for more.

  3. Pick a format and copy, or press play to open a chat with a character who fits the scenario.

Scenario, prompt or first message: which to copy

A scenario is the standing situation the two of you are in. The Full scenario format writes it out in labelled parts, which is the clearest thing to paste into any AI chat. The First message format turns the setup and opening line into something you can send as the opening message. The Scenario field format is the short, present-tense version with {{user}} and {{char}} that goes in the Scenario box of a Character.AI or JanitorAI bot. Same situation, three shapes for three places.

What makes a scenario worth playing

Good scenarios give the two characters a reason to be in the room and something left unsaid between them, rather than a page of rules. Every scenario here names the setting, says who you are and who they are, points at the one thing that is unresolved, and hands you a first line that needs an answer. The tropes are the ones people search for most, and each keeps every character an adult and the tone romantic or dramatic rather than explicit.

Questions

What is an AI roleplay scenario?
It is the setup for a scene: who the two of you are, where you are, what is unresolved and how it opens. Unlike a one-line prompt, a scenario carries enough that the AI can keep the situation going without more instructions from you.
Do these work in Character.AI, JanitorAI or ChatGPT?
Yes. Copy the Full scenario or First message as plain text and paste it in. For a bot builder, the Scenario field format gives you the short present-tense version with {{user}} and {{char}} to drop straight into the Scenario box.
What do {{user}} and {{char}} mean?
{{user}} is whoever is reading, and {{char}} is the character. Keeping the macros means the scenario reads correctly whatever name either of you has, which is why bot platforms use them.
What does the play button do?
When an Onscene character fits the scenario, it opens a chat with them, and they text you first. The scenario text does not carry over by itself, so copy it first and paste it in to set the scene. If no one fits, it opens the character studio with the scenario filled in.
Are the scenarios safe for everyone?
They are romantic, tense and dramatic, never explicit. Every character in a scenario is an adult, and Onscene itself is for people 18 and over.
