A capped message bucket versus a curated cast
CrushOn AI and Onscene are both 18+ adult chat platforms, but they are shaped very differently.
CrushOn is a hosting platform for community-built characters. The catalog is enormous and covers almost any fandom, archetype or niche you can think of, which is its real strength. The cost is consistency: some characters are detailed and stay in voice, and plenty are a few lines pasted into a box. You do the sorting. And on every tier below Deluxe you are chatting against a message quota — a daily bucket on the free plan, a monthly one on the paid plans.
Onscene has 74 characters (69 public), each with a cinematic portrait, a backstory and a place. They went through the same creative process, so the quality bar is even, and they text you first instead of waiting for you to open the conversation. You are not picking from twenty versions of the same idea — you browse a curated cast and start. If none of the 74 fit, there is a create-your-own-character tool, though the catalog itself is not community-expandable the way CrushOn's is.
Message caps versus credits you spend on replies
This is the difference you will feel day to day, so it is worth being exact.
As of October 2026, CrushOn's free tier gives you 50 messages a day with ads. Paid plans are message-metered too: Standard is $5.99/month for 2,000 messages a month, Premium is $14.99/month for 6,000 messages plus image generation and priority, and Deluxe is $49.90/month for unlimited messages. Annual billing knocks roughly 30% off each tier. CrushOn does not post these on a single official pricing page; the figures here come from two dated trackers that agree.
Onscene does not sell you a message bucket. Credit packs start at $5 for 150 credits, where each reply costs at most 5 credits in Standard mode and 10 in Uncensored mode. Monthly plans start at $8. A new account gets 5 free replies, and guests can start a conversation with no account at all. You are paying for the replies you actually send, and there is no daily lockout — if you want a long evening with one character, you have it.
So the honest read on cost: if you are a very heavy chatter, CrushOn Standard at $5.99 for 2,000 messages is cheap per message. If you chat in bursts and hate hitting a wall at message 50, Onscene's credits stretch the way you use them.
Memory you can read and edit
On CrushOn, how much a character remembers tracks your tier — context and memory depth improve on the higher plans, but what the character knows is managed inside its context window, not handed to you as a plain record. Long chats push early details out, and there is no simple panel to see or correct what it is holding.
Onscene stores each character's memory of you as an editable panel. Open it and you see the facts the character is working from: your name, what you talked about, details you chose to keep. You can add something, fix something wrong, or delete something you no longer want in play. Because that memory lives outside the model's context window, it does not get crowded out as a conversation runs long, and a new session picks up where the last one ended.
Adult content and modes
Both platforms are 18+ and allow adult content; users confirm they are adults before using it.
CrushOn's adult content depends on the individual character and its creator's settings, so consistency varies with whoever built the bot. Image generation is a paid feature on Premium and above.
Onscene's Uncensored mode is a single toggle in account settings that applies across every character, so you are not hunting for a bot with the right permissions. Standard mode is romantic and suggestive without being explicit; Uncensored mode allows adult sensual content. Both keep the writing literary rather than pornographic — the draw is the scene and the character. Onscene does not generate images inside chat.
Where CrushOn AI wins
A fair comparison names what you give up.
CrushOn's community catalog is vastly larger than Onscene's 74 characters. If you want a specific fandom character, a rare archetype or a bot someone already built for your exact scenario, CrushOn almost certainly has it and Onscene may not.
CrushOn generates images on its paid tiers. Onscene does not do image generation in chat at all. If pictures are part of what you want, CrushOn covers that and Onscene does not.
CrushOn's free tier, at 50 messages a day, is more generous for casual browsing than Onscene's 5 free replies. And CrushOn has been around longer with a larger established base.
If none of those are dealbreakers — if what you actually want is a curated cast who text first, remember you through a memory you can edit, and a bill tied to replies rather than a daily cap — that is the trade Onscene is built to win.
